Sowing
One-year old crowns will be pre-ordered ready for delivery and immediate planting in March-April.
Harvest
No harvest in the first year.
Year two onwards, harvest over about eight weeks Apr-Jun.
Then leave the plant to grow and cutback to the base when it’s yellow in the autumn.
Protection
These plants will need stakes to support them against the wind.
Remove any female plants with orange-red berries, including any seedlings that they produce.
